We wanted to take this time to introduce ourselves. We’re Brandon Regional Hospital and we’ve been serving Brandon and Tampa communities for more than 30 years now. We’ll admit: social media is a new adventure for us but if you do know us, you also know that expanding into new areas and interacting with the community are two things we do best! So once we learned that this was yet another way to maintain a steady dialogue with our patients, their families and our neighbors here in the Brandon community and beyond, we were sold on starting an online conversation.

If we’re new to you or you haven’t stopped by in a while, let us update you on BRH. We’re a 407-bed acute care hospital that provides a wide range of specialty services to our community, including cardiovascular, neurosciences, obstetrics, pediatrics and oncology. Our facility is an Accredited Chest Pain Center, Joint Commission certified Primary Stroke Center and received the Blue Cross Blue Shield Distinction for our Heart and Vascular Center. We’ve also delivered close to 70,000 new residents in our Women’s and Children’s Center which features the area’s only Level III Neonatal Intensive Care service.

And we’re excited about the new directions our hospital is going. Our Cyberknife Cancer Center is garnering significant attention throughout the state as an exciting alternative cancer treatment, targeting cancer and other tumors anywhere inside the body without traditional invasive surgery. Earlier this year, we also enhanced our spine care program by launching a new Neuroscience Center, enabling us to expand our care to brain and spinal tumors, epilepsy and spinal disorders.

There are so many more wonderful things in store here at Brandon Regional Hospital, including the renovation of our popular Baby Suites for expectant moms and their newborns coming this spring. We can’t wait to share all of the latest news with you here and use this platform as a means of getting your input as a fellow member of the community.
